Dr. Youngwoo Joo

Dr. Joo was born in Korea and currently resides in Vaughan, Canada. He received his undergraduate training at the University of Toronto, graduating with degrees in zoology and human biology, before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry.

Dental Education

Committed to providing the highest level of care, Dr. Joo has pursued extensive advanced training across multiple specialties. He completed an Implant Residency at The Institute of Dental Excellence in Toronto, where he received extended education in advanced dental implantology, including Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), a process that offers optimum results and healing.

Dr. Joo has completed advanced training in periodontal surgeries through the PERIO Institute and Toronto Implant Academy, including soft tissue grafting, crown lengthening, and pocket reduction procedures. Dr. Joo has also pursued specialized training in full mouth reconstruction and esthetic veneers and crowns through Dr. Phelan's Occlusion Design and Esthetic Design programs, completed a Digital Smile Design (DSD) residency, and earned his IV sedation certification from the University of Toronto.

Care Philosophy

One of the things Dr. Joo enjoys most about being a dentist is getting to know his patients and building trust and life-long relationships. He enjoys educating patients about the importance of oral health and its impact on their overall health and well-being. Dr. Joo considers the appreciation and acknowledgment from patients for the quality of work they received as one of the most rewarding aspects of his job.

When he's not helping patients maintain their oral health, you can find Dr. Joo snowboarding, golfing, or watching basketball.
