Our story began in 2013 with a single office and an unwavering belief: that every patient deserves to feel genuinely welcomed, heard, and cared for. What started as one team, one room, and one shared vision has grown into something far greater.
Over more than a decade, we have built and grown four thriving practices, earning the trust of thousands of families across our communities. Each office taught us something new — about people, about care, and about how to do dentistry better.

Dr. John Moore
General Dentistry, Implants & Comprehensive Care
Dr. John Moore joined our practice in 2022, bringing a passion for life sciences and a commitment to clinical excellence to the Twinsburg community. Originally from Vancouver and Penticton, Dr. Moore was inspired to enter the field by his eldest sister, finding in dentistry the perfect intersection of rigorous scientific knowledge and hands-on patient care.
Academic Background & Clinical Expertise
Dr. Moore earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in History from the University of British Columbia before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the NYU College of Dentistry. Equipped with a comprehensive DDS skillset and extensive hands-on experience, he manages the full spectrum of dental care. His expertise ranges from preventive and diagnostic care to complex restorative work, including dental implants and full-arch restorations. Known for his calm, unhurried presence, Dr. Moore takes a thoughtful approach that puts even the most anxious patients at ease.
A Community-Focused Philosophy
Building enduring, personal relationships is at the heart of Dr. Moore’s practice. He views the opportunity to get to know his patients as the most fulfilling aspect of his career and finds great reward in the appreciation of those he serves. Interests & Pursuits
Dr. Moore’s love for learning extends well beyond the clinic. A true history enthusiast, he nearly completed a second degree in the subject during his undergraduate years and remains an avid reader of global historical periods. He is also a disciplined long-distance runner who completes two to three marathons annually, with his sights set on an ultramarathon in the future. In his downtime, Dr. Moore enjoys traveling and exploring new cuisines and local restaurants.
Dr. Kent Shin, DDS, G.DIP
Orthodontics & Comprehensive Care
Dr. Kent Shin joined our practice in 2024, bringing a global perspective and a wealth of advanced clinical expertise to our team. He earned both his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (Graduate Diploma of Dentistry) from Griffith University in Queensland, Australia.
A Commitment to Advanced Clinical Excellence
Dr. Shin is a lifelong learner who has pursued rigorous postgraduate education to provide a truly comprehensive range of services. His specialized credentials include:
- Orthodontics: A Graduate Diploma in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics from EODO in Sydney, with a specific focus on growth, development, and airway treatment.
- Cosmetic & Restorative Care: A Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry from the London Dental Institute and a Fellowship in Modern Aligners from Ripe Global.
- Surgical Training: Advanced dental implant training through IAADent.
This diverse skillset allows Dr. Shin to masterfully blend science and artistry, whether he is performing complex surgical extractions, root canal treatments, or full-arch implant restorations.
Compassionate, Patient-First Philosophy
The foundation of Dr. Shin’s practice was built during his early volunteer experiences, where he provided essential dental care in remote villages across Cambodia, India, and Kyrgyzstan. These missions inspired a deeply compassionate approach to dentistry. He takes the time to truly listen to every patient, ensuring they feel seen, comfortable, and empowered. By creating a calm and collaborative environment, he guides his patients toward confident smiles and improved overall health.
Life Beyond the Clinic
Outside of the office, Dr. Shin is a dedicated practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He credits the sport with sharpening his focus, building resilience, and maintaining the disciplined mindset that he brings to his clinical work every day.
Dr. Youngwoo Joo
General Dentistry & Dental Implants
Dr. Youngwoo Joo is a co-founder of the Joo-Moore Dental Group and has spent over a decade building a practice rooted in trust, precision, and clinical excellence. Born in Korea and currently residing in Vaughan, Dr. Joo began his academic journey at the University of Toronto, where he earned degrees in Zoology and Human Biology. He then moved to New York City to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the NYU College of Dentistry.
Advanced Training & Expertise
Committed to providing the highest level of care, Dr. Joo’s meticulous approach is backed by extensive post-graduate training across multiple specialties. He is a graduate of the Implant Residency at The Institute of Dental Excellence in Toronto, where he specialized in advanced dental implantology and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) techniques to optimize patient healing.
His surgical expertise extends to periodontal care, having completed advanced training through the PERIO Institute and Toronto Implant Academy in soft tissue grafting, crown lengthening, and pocket reduction. Furthermore, Dr. Joo is highly skilled in restorative aesthetics; he has completed Dr. Phelan’s Occlusion and Esthetic Design programs, a Digital Smile Design (DSD) residency, and is IV sedation certified by the University of Toronto. This comprehensive background makes him a premier choice for patients seeking full-mouth reconstruction, aesthetic veneers, and long-lasting implant restorations.
